Culture@Kearsney: Words

Our annual Words event uses literature and poetry to inspire and entertain. Genres include slam poetry, rap, prepared readings or poems, dramatized poetry and choral verse. On 23 and 24 August, audiences can watch pupils from Kearsney and neighbouring schools presenting prepared pieces in the Greyhound Pavilion from 19h00 to approximately 20h00. Entry is free.

Culture@Kearsney: Dance Festival

This event always provides an amazing spectacle and is a highlight in the Culture@Kearsney calendar. Fans can watch the Dance Festival on one day only – Friday 26 August, starting at 19h00. Entrance is free. We hope to see you there.

Rugby: Dylan Richardson selected for SA Schools A team

We are delighted to announce that Dylan Richardson (Grade 11), who played for the Sharks U18 team in Craven Week during July, was selected to the SA School A team which played an U19 international series involving England, Wales and Italy in August.

Congratulations to Myles Brown (Class of 2010) who set a new South African record in the pool in the 400m freestyle at the Olympic Games in Rio, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to get him through to the semis in that event.

National Hockey selections

Congratulations to Lyle Jarvel, who was named captain of the U18B SA Schools hockey team, and Guy Morgan captain of the SA Schools U16A team. Our 1st XI coach, Mr Sihle Ntuli, was chosen to coach the SA U16 hockey team.
