Full-time Musician / Keyboard Specialist 

Kearsney College, an independent high school for boys in KZN, is looking for a full-time keyboard specialist.

The successful applicant will be required to:

·         work with boys in the age group Grade 8 - 12 in group situations as well as individually

·         perform on stage at an advanced level of musicianship in various styles of music

·         act as full-time pianist of the College (accompanist for all official functions, instrumentalists, vocalists and the choir)

·         be available as organist for chapel services, if needed

·         be available for rehearsals and tours of our music ensembles (local and international)

·         teach piano as a subject / field of study up to Grade 8 level and beyond

·         assist in teaching music theory up to Grade 6 (UNISA) and Grade 7 (ABRSM)

·         assist in teaching aural training (Kearsney College Aural Training Syllabus) up to an advanced level

·         facilitate and manage the College’s Marimba band

·         manage and organize all external examination entries (UNISA, Trinity, ABRSM)

·         manage the maintenance of all pianos and other keyboard instruments on campus
