22nd Annual Kearsney College Tennis Festival

The Kearsney Tennis Festival has become a popular event on the school’s tennis calendar profiling the top junior players in the country. This year it was held from 18 to 21 May. The organisers are grateful to Seeff Properties, Sportsmans Warehouse, Matchday performance drinks, Wilson and Alpine Motors for their sponsorship of this event.

There were 56 players from eight schools:

  • Affies (Pretoria)
  • Grey College (Bloemfontein)
  • Pretoria Boys (Pretoria)
  • Kearsney College (Durban)
  • Paul Roos (Stellenbosch)
  • Clifton High School (Durban)
  • Selborne College (East London)
  • Stellenbosch High School (Stellenbosch)

The final proved to be an epic battle, with Grey College from Bloemfontein edging out Stellenbosch’s Paul Roos in a thrilling and tight match.

Blood Brothers show a triumph

Congratulations to Director Mr Brett Alborough, Assistant Directors Ms Ulaetha Singh and Mrs Emily Stockil-Smith, an exceptionally talented cast, band and technical team. Kearsney’s production ran for four days and was appreciated by full houses each evening. The hard work put into the production was worthwhile.

This highly acclaimed musical was a smash hit around the world and it was a treat to be able to see at Kearsney.
