Jabulani Nyathi (Deputy Head of School 2015) has been awarded the Cecil Renaud Scholarship to study his MPhil in Engineering for Sustainable Development (ESD) at Cambridge University. Jabulani is an Allan Gray Fellow who graduated with a BSC Chem Eng from UCT in 2019.
Jabulani is passionate about using his education to contribute to “creating sustainable systems that can meet our current need as ell as those of future generations.”
At Kearsney, Jabulani seized the day, setting cross country records, being one of the Heads of Choir in our award-winning choir and serving as Deputy Head of School. Jabulani achieved seven distinctions in his final IEB Matric examinations. We are proud of Jabulani’s achievements and the humility and civic mindedness he demonstrates and wish him everything of the best.
