Kearsney College teacher Steven Edwards (Pembroke, 2006), who was himself a scholarship recipient in his day, spoke to the boys about his experiences as a Kearsney schoolboy and how the lessons and values have moulded him into the person that he is today, and his lasting gratitude for the opportunity. The importance of understanding that with great privilege comes great responsibility was reiterated and the boys were urged to make the most of their experience at Kearsney, to be grateful for the opportunity and to seize the day.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWhen it comes to life the critical thing is whether you take things for granted or take them with gratitude.\u201d \u2013 G.K.
