SURVIVOR TIMES
THE KEARSNEY FELLOWSHIP
A notable characteristic of many school
old boys is their enduring passion for their
alma mater. Memories of their school
years - both good and bad - remain vivid
and, above all, the vast majority of us are
immensely grateful for those foundation
years. Over the passing years, Kearsney’s
old boys have witnessed an evolution
from a superb boarding school into an
internationally respected and excellent
educational institution. And the future
promises even more. With this background,
Legacy & Survivors
The Survivors are the
most active generation!
They held a Convenor
Think Tank Lunch on
19 March 2015 in the
Polkinghorne Room at
the Greyhound and each
pledged to a plan of action.
Gentlemen, your work is
appreciated.

it is understandable why so many old boys
are committed to preserving and nurturing
the ethos of Kearsney.
The Kearsney Survivors - those of us who
departed Botha’s Hill 50 years ago or more-
recognise that educational excellence is not
funded by school fees alone. With this
reality in mind, the Legacy Committee have
as their focus four core objectives:
•The College’s 2021 Centenary. The
support of all structures focused on
this year and in particular on those who
departed Kearsney prior to 1971.
• Inspiring giving and bequests.
• Recognising benefactors - past & future.
• Nurturing the values of fellowship.
That Kearsney has an enviable reputation
of delivering useful young men into our
wider society is an achievement of which
to be satisfied. In our evolving society this
delivery is utterly critical and with focus the
Kearsney Survivors hope to make a small
contribution.
