Kearsney Choir achieve more International Awards

The choir toured to Hong Kong to compete in the World Choral Festival hosted by the World Youth and Children’s Choral Artists Association (WYCCAA). They achieved outstanding results, WINNING the two categories they entered – YOUTH CHOIRS and SHOW CHOIRS!

The Kearsney Choir won more prizes than any other choir at the competition.

We are very proud of their prizes for Best Interpretation of the Music and Best Stage Presence, along with their category wins. They were also awarded the prestigious Jury Prize of HK$20,000 in recognition of the judges’ ratings of their excellence as an ensemble and standard of performances throughout the festival.

Kearsney College is proud to continue its tradition of hosting world-class school sporting events, and the 2026 Kearsney Soccer Tournament is a highlight on the calendar.

Now in its fourth year, the tournament is underway and has brought together dozens of schools and hundreds of players across three divisions:

• High School Boys
• High School Girls
• Primary School Boys

This prestigious event is fast becoming a cornerstone of school soccer in South Africa, celebrating competition, camaraderie, and community. The tournament attracts top schools from across the country and provides a platform for young athletes to showcase their talent at the highest level.
