Three Kearsney players have been selected to the SA Schools Golf team following the SA High Schools championship held at Mt Edgecombe this month: Matthew Gouws, Tyron Keylock and Reece Brown. Congratulations boys on this fantastic achievement.
Five Kearsney golfers participated in the championships. Troy Taylor, Matthew Gouws and Reece Brown represented the KZN A Team, with Asher Hollister and Tyron Keylock the KZN B Team.
At the championships, Matthew Gouws was tied for the lead after 72 holes and lost in a playoff to finish 2nd. Tyron Keylock shot a wonderful 69 in the final round to finish 4th and Reece Brown (KZN captain) played consistent golf to finish in 6th position. Troy Taylor finished tie 12th, and Asher Hollister 29th. This capped off a wonderful season, in which the Kearsney 1st Team also won the KZN Schools Championship.
