We are extremely proud of our boys’ achievements in Round 2 of the SA Mathematics Olympiad. Seventeen Kearsney boys gained representation on the Provincial Honours list (top 100 students in KZN):

* Only the top 6 Junior students in KZN scored a mark in the 80s, in what was a very challenging paper. The overall top student in KZN, Mukona Marageni, scored an incredible 96% for this paper.

Jack White placed 4th in the province in the senior category, with Woojae Lee and Hayden Dunsdon also placing in the top 15.
Furthermore, Liam Botha, Lefa Kgomo, George Sykes and Thomas Waldburger received a special invitation to the Inter-provincial Mathematics team competition, based on recognition by SAMF as Developing Talents.
Mukona Marageni, Thomas Schulze and Jack White were selected to write the 3rd Round of the Olympiad, placing them in the top 100 in South Africa in their respective categories.
These are wonderful achievements and we congratulate the boys for their hard work and commitment and our staff for their training and support.
