The Class of 1982 Strikes Gold!

Allan Lawrie (Pembroke, 1982), together with Warren Hendrie (Pembroke, 1982) rallied the Class of 1982 together to support the Kearsney College Foundation’s Centenary Arch Appeal:

“When it came to collecting funds for this momentous occasion Kearsney’s Centenary, even in a poor economic climate, pandemic, lock down, and competing with so many deserving causes, we stressed that there was no pressure to contribute, and their amount was up to them. This proved to be a humbling experience, that showed Old Boy’s commitment to their school” says Old Boy and current parent, Allan.

Their aim was to include as many Old Boys as possible from the Class of 1982; 66% of a class of 65 pupils enthusiastically contributed to this call – encouraged by an inter-house competition on the value and number of contributors among the group. Nothing like some friendly rivalry!

They Class of 1982 will have their year group forever etched in the history of the school; and they challenge other years to support the cause, becoming Founders of Kearsney’s Second Century.
